the makings of a family

I happen to be an advisory/AVID teacher to 22 wonderful seniors.  This class is supposed to be our "family" on campus.  It's been a long road to creating a community, but we have come to a happy place.  Today only 5 of my students made it to class; it's Friday and the day is beautiful, who knows why no one came?

Well, to pass the time (a 45 minute period) the 6 of us talked about prom dresses and had some fun with photobooth.  Check it out!  Six members of the "Bears" at our finest.

and so am I!

I guess I was naive to think the weather could not affect my moods. In California I really had nothing to complain about. In New York I allow myself to whine more.

Although weather in the month of April tends to fluctuate (80 degree and 60 degree days all in the same weekly forecast), I welcome spring with open arms. Goodbye gloomy day blues, hello sunnier dispositions!
