and so am I!
I guess I was naive to think the weather could not affect my moods. In California I really had nothing to complain about. In New York I allow myself to whine more.
Although weather in the month of April tends to fluctuate (80 degree and 60 degree days all in the same weekly forecast), I welcome spring with open arms. Goodbye gloomy day blues, hello sunnier dispositions!
And, in case you're interested...you never forget your first

memory lane
The best part of keeping a journal is being able to travel down memory lane. While at home for spring break I collected my old journals for the sole reason of retracing my steps. Lately I've been feeling reflective; check out excerpts from my entries over the past five years.

On Friday I went up to Arrowhead for the last confirmation retreat with my group...Before bed [the entire youth ministry participated in] adoration, where tear fest 2004 began. So many things came into my head while I prayed, mainly I felt like my life was about to change (with college and all)...I'm writing this right now while sitting on Southwest flight 1320. I'm on my way to Berkeley. My latest trouble has been deciding whether to go to UCSD or Berkeley...

Senior weekend began today...I have a crush on a cute Pilipino boy from PASS, Mark. He's a second year who is really helping me feel welcomed...I hope to bump into him more during the weekend. ;)

I'm officially done with PCN! I'm happy it's done with and I'm very happy with the final performances for Tuning Up and Jota...My PCN experience was so much fun!...Mark and I have been going out for 9 months! Wow!

Students are terrified after the largest mass shooting in U.S. history occured at Virginia Tech. This world needs help...

Danielle won for senate! I am so proud of her. I am so so so thrilled that she won!

I am going to miss my roommates like CRAZY!...Lately I've been staying up and avoiding work for the sake of spending precious time with my friends...Life is moving quickly...I'll be graduating in a month.

Once again I find myself on a plane. Ever since I left for Berkeley I've hopped on a plane to see my family (save the few times I drove from So Cal to Nor Cal). I've gotten used to saying my goodbyes at the airport...It's always hard to leave home...I have such amazing parents. They are fully supportive of my decisions and I am thankful for their faith in me...I found my old journals!
My what a difference five years makes.
